These pictures are all the property of, and are copyright protected by, REUTERS.  The events of September 11 will be remembered by all of us for the rest of our lives.   Living in Vienna, we did not yet have television, and our dial-up internet access was used heavily as we sought timely news of the tragedies.  These pictures capture, at least for me, much of the incomprehensible awe of the events.
